What is your favorite thing to do on a Friday night:
Have pizza delivered. Watch TV and veg!
I started scrapbooking...
when
I realized that we did not have one photo of my daughter printed, after
she asked me where her baby album was, and she was already almost 3.
My favorite snack food is...
potato
chips. And microwave popcorn with m-n-m's poured in while the popcorn
is still warm, so that the m-n-m's get a little soft.
Something you have always wanted to do but haven't...
is attend an Olympic event. Anything would be cool...summer or winter Olympics!
How has scrapbooking enriched your life?
Scrapbooking has enriched my life through the wonderful women it has
allowed me to get to know, online and in real life and the friendships
that have occurred as a result. I can't imagine not having this
community of awesome women around me!
If you could go anywhere in the world where would you go?
Switzerland, but I am always glad to come home after a trip regardless of how wonderful it was.
What keeps you scrapbooking?
I scrapbook because it keeps me sane and feeds my soul. Right now, it
is the one thing that I do that is totally for me. It lets me be
creative in ways I had never expected and it gives me a sense of
accomplishment that is different from the other things in my life.
One of my most embarrassing moments was...
now
why did you have to ask that?! LOL! Mine was forgetting the name of the
guy who I was set up with on a group date in college!
I get inspired by...
the little things!
One of my favorite memories is...
watching my son's reaction when he saw his "baby" (sister) for the first time at the hospital.
Other
interesting things we should know about you...
I am a SAHM living in the Bay Area (CA) but a Texan at heart! I love
all things burnt orange and am still an avid alumni of the University
of Texas. Go Horns! Luckily, my husband, son and daughter all share the
same passion for UT sports!

What is your favorite thing to do on a Friday night:
Order pizza and watch a movie with my children.
I started scrapbooking... 4 years ago when a friend invited me to a creative memories party.
My favorite snack food is... I must have peanut M&M's and Sprite when I am scrapping.
Something you have always wanted to do but haven't...
I love
to sing so I have always wanted to make a CD for my kids to have when I
pass this life. The CD would just be for them not anyone else.
How has scrapbooking enriched your life?
Scrapbooking
has made me step back from the everyday hustle and bustle of life and
appreciate the little things that mean so much. To see the smiles when
I complete pages of my family is such a blessing.
If you could go anywhere in the world where would you go?
Gosh do I have ot pick just one? Ok...Italy.
What keeps you scrapbooking?
The growth I see in my family and in my kids keeps me scrapbooking, they are always doing something new.
One of my most embarrassing moments was...
Ohhhh...I can't tell that! LOL
I get inspired by...
Other scrappers, my children, my surroundings.
One of my favorite memories is...
There
are soo many but I have to say when my hubby cried as our daughter was
born and when my hubby was the coach of our sons football team.
Other interesting things we should know about you...
I
have been a scrapbook designer & instructor for 3 years and I am
currently the Creative Coordinator for Columbus Scrappers and a guest
instructor for a large scrapbooking company. I have taught everything
from scrapbook basics to advanced techniques. I love to hang out with
friends and have girls night out but I also love and cherish the quiet
moments snuggling with my children...and hubby!! I love to sing! I was
in musical theater for 9 years so it's in me. I began scrapbooking because I want to leave a heritage for my family and something that will last a lifetime.

What is your favorite thing to do on a Friday night?
Dinner with my husband or out with girlfriends.
I
started scrapbooking...
when I wanted to make an album for my husband's
birthday. Deco scissors were the big thing then and yes....I'm sorry to
say that I cut the actual photos.
My favorite snack food is...
Hot Tamales. They don't melt in your hand and no problem handling the paper while indulging.
Something you have always wanted to do but haven't...
Fly first class to a destination half way around the world.
How has scrapbooking enriched your life?
The friendships that I have made is by far number one on the list.
If you could go anywhere in the world where would you go?
Singapore, Tahiti, Bali and Australia are on my list.
What
keeps you scrapbooking?
It truly is my therapy. It's so quiet. I'm
alone with my music and thoughts. When I'm busy, I'm crazy busy. So
this is comforting and grounding.
One of my most embarrassing moments was...
Several friends were traveling to my home to attend a weekend crop. I
was out of the country, they were going to sleep at my house and I'd
see them in the morning. As luck would have it, the garage wireless key
pad's battery was dead and they couldn't get in. All it needed was a
new battery, but they didn't know that. They went to a hotel to sleep
and they met me at my house when I got back. THAT was an embarrassing
moment!!
I get inspired by...nature and music.
One of my favorite
memories is...
We took our best friends on a safari to South Africa. We had such a
wonderful time! Ever pet a wild cheetah or have your car bumped by a
wild elephant??
Other
interesting things we should know about you...
I have been married for 31 years to a wonderful man. His job
has taken us to 3 different countries and 9 homes. We have 2 grown and
married children. For the past 3 years I have split my time between
Michigan and Germany, where my husband is working. We enjoy golf and
traveling. I am going to South Africa, Egypt, Moscow and 10 days in
Orlando before mid May, so we are on the go quite often. A calendar is
very important in my life!

What is your favorite thing to do
on a Friday night?
hot sex with my husband....oh that is
what he wanted me to say. Friday's are always different here. If I had
my druthers I would spend Friday nights by going out to a nice sushi dinner
with my husband or some friends. Coming home to a cleaned up, quiet house
...kids sleeping or close to it. I would pour a glass of Chardonnay and
start something creative....usually involving paper, glue, scissors,
paint! AH! Chardonnay with a side of glue stick and a good movie on the
tube!
I started scrapbooking...
because a hurricane was supposed to be coming and we would most likely lose
electricity. My son was going to need a scrapbook for his Eagle Scout
ceremony so I figured that would be a good time to start. Scrapbooking took
off for me.. Charlie never finished his Eagle project.... UGH!
My
favorite snack food is...
warm edamame with
salt.
Something you have always wanted to do but haven't...
learn to play the drums for a rock band AND drive an 18
wheeler! ,,, maybe i could drive for the band while on
tour!
How has scrapbooking enriched your life?
i
have met some of the most wonderful people because of this hobby... through
trade shows, teaching, design teams, traveling, internet groups,
retreats and local stores...
If you could go anywhere in the
world where would you go?
i would rent an RV and travel
around the USA then hop on a plane then do it all again in Europe
and China and Australia!
What keeps you scrapbooking?
I am addicted to paint, my glue stick and I love
paper cuts! ... I love the creative outlet. I have to have
my hands working on something. Even while my "DH" was in the hospital for 10
days I worked on stuff at his bedside..
One of my most embarrassing
moments was...you mean besides ___________ NOT SO
GRACIOUSLY accepting my gift of a bottle of wine...."THIS BETTER BE APPLE
CIDER"... nice!... well, i would have to say i was pretty embarrassed when....
i had been out to dinner with some guy i met in an online group....for our
first date. i asked him about his dog... he didn't have one.
i asked him about his grandmother... he didn't have one... i asked him about
his boat.. he didn't have one. Then i called him Todd... his name was
Steve.... the whole time i thought i was on a date with someone COMPLETELY
DIFFERENT!!!!!!!!!!!! OH well, so much for that relationship and also so much
for my luck with meeting mr. right online......
I get inspired
by...
home decor catalogs, music and sometimes i have
layouts appear in dreams... now to just work on the lottery numbers appearing
in my dreams...
One of my favorite memories is...
meeting heather preckel and heidi lacy! ...being a little girl
and having my dad spend the whole day reading "the old man and the sea" to
me... i love that book!

12 Friday's and A2Z dt of course!
Second one...Memory Makers Master class of 2007! Family: DH, Bruce

Florida...(Tampa) I am a registered nurse who is a stay at home
mom...although I am almost never home...Last job was as a Hospice
Nurse...Favorite movies...Fargo, Christmas Vacation, Pay It
Forward...I do NOT bake but I am a great cook...I take lunch to
Jack...a homeless guy who sits on the corner about 5 miles from my
house. I sit with him for about 15 minutes and he teaches me so
much...my favorite quote that he told me...”theater is life. Film
is art and television is furniture” (not sure it is his originally
nor do I care.)...I am a germ-a-phobe! I was my hands a lot! I
won't use a cloth towel to dry my hands. I love the smell of bleach!
I won't eat green, red, or yellow peppers. My toes are really
short...my sister says that I have Fred Flintstone feet and cannot
understand how I can propell myself forward with them. I hate the
sound of canned laughter on television sit coms. I cannot stant it
when someone bites the fork while eating!

above mentioned "most embarrassing" moment! My children, EmmaRae (11)
and Joshua (9) attend the same elementary school I attended. I have

One of my most embarrassing moments
was a few
years ago, Meredith (my daughter), who was three at the time, was the
flower girl in my cousin's wedding. As the bride and her bridesmaids
were getting ready, Meredith pulled the fire alarm in the church!
Yikes! Evacuation, fire trucks and everything. How embarrassing!
I get inspired by
magazines, things Meredith says, other scrapbookers!
One of my favorite memories is
of the day my daughter was born. Probably the most joy (and pain) that I have ever felt!
Other interesting things we should know about you:
Let's see...I am currently working as a Teacher's Assistant, but
constantly dreaming of a way I could have fun and still make money.
Don't we all?!?! I am happily married to my husband, Mark. We live in a
small town in western North Carolina, where we both grew up. We have
one dramatic, delightful, sometimes difficult seven year old daughter,
Meredith. Life here is good! In "Scrapbook World", as my husband calls
it, I have had the opportunity to have my work publishes in various
industry magazines. I have done design work for several companies in
the past. I so excited about this opportunity with TwelveFridays!
